PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include following an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists, assisting with treatment, implementing occupational therapy treatment programs, documenting patient conditions and responses, and communicating with relevant staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in treating patients according to an individualized plan of care.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's needs.
- Aid patients through all phases of occupational therapy treatment and techniques.
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and document their conditions and responses in patient charts after each session.
- Communicate continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have a strong background in occupational therapy and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must also hold a current license as an occupational therapy assistant in your state.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in a healthcare setting, familiarity with rehabilitation techniques, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of medical terminology are also beneficial.
