PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include implementing individualized treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists, assisting with all phases of treatment, communicating with patients, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient’s needs
- Aid patients through various phases of occupational therapy treatment and techniques
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and document their conditions and responses in patient charts
- Communicate continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong educational background in occupational therapy or a closely related field, along with a current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in your state. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. Proficiency in using standard occupational therapy equipment is also required.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in a healthcare setting, familiarity with rehabilitation techniques, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are crucial. Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices is beneficial.
