PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to support a dynamic team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in treating patients by implementing individualized plans of care developed by Occupational Therapists. You will ensure that every patient receives quality treatment, leading to excellent functional outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
- Aid patients through all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
- Communicate with patients about their treatment and document their conditions and responses in charts after each visit.
- Interact continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong educational background in occupational therapy or a closely related field. Additionally, you must possess a current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in your state. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care are also essential.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience working in a rehabilitation setting, familiarity with various occupational therapy techniques, and a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or a related field.
Skills
