About the Role
This PRN Occupational Therapist position primarily covers weekends and weekdays as needed, including holidays. The role involves assessing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans to enhance independence across physical, cognitive, perceptual, and developmental skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations based on physician referral.
- Interpret evaluation results and develop individualized care plans with clear goals.
- Implement advanced occupational therapy treatments and adjust plans as needed.
- Supervise and mentor staff, interns, and support personnel.
- Serve as a clinical resource, contribute to program development, and participate in community and professional activities.
- Ensure safe, compassionate, and personalized patient care while adhering to organizational policies.
- Document accurately, communicate effectively with team members, patients, and caregivers, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure from the relevant state board.
- Preferred minimum of one year of experience.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and clinical expertise in specific patient populations.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and perform manual tasks, with excellent fine motor skills and visual acuity.
- Flexibility in scheduling and adaptability within patient care environments.
Schedule
PRN (as needed), primarily covering weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
