PRN Medical Assistant

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a primary care team. The role involves providing clinical and front desk duties to ensure excellent patient care and experience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and ensure cleanliness and stock.
• Gather patient health information, review records, and update data.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vitals, blood draws, administering injections, and assisting with procedures.
• Partner with providers to develop patient care plans and address care gaps.
• Handle front desk duties including scheduling, record requests, documentation, referrals, and check-in/out processes.
• Process test results, communicate outcomes, and participate in patient outreach to promote engagement.
• Maintain clinical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or related training.
• National or state-specific certification/registration preferred; required in certain states.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Skills

• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
