PRN Maintenance Assistant

About the role

The Maintenance Assistant provides ongoing preventative maintenance and resident assistance, building and grounds maintenance, troubleshooting maintenance problems and various related tasks as assigned. Performs most tasks independently with occasional assistance of outside vendor. Is available to respond to maintenance emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours.

Responsibilities

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electricity, and mechanics.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Positive, courteous, and respectful attitude towards residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Good safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.
• Self-supervising and self-motivating ability to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
