What You’ll Do as an Occupational Therapist
- PRN
- Helping patients regain independence through home-based therapy
- Conducting initial OT evaluations and ongoing reassessments
- Creating and updating individualized Plans of Care
- Ensuring compliance with OASIS and regulatory guidelines
- Communicating clinical updates to physicians and care teams
- Teaching ADL techniques, safety strategies, and adaptive equipment use
- Recommending or helping fabricate assistive devices and splints
- Informing patients and families about home programs
- Supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and clinical staff
- Travelling within your assigned territory (Valparaiso, Merrillville, Portage & Wheatfield)
What You Need
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active, unrestricted OT license in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the service area
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance
- Comfortable lifting 50–100 lbs and performing physical patient care tasks
