About the Role

As a General Surgeon, you will deliver high-quality patient care and surgical expertise within our Colorado healthcare system. This role involves comprehensive surgical services in both operating room and ambulatory clinic settings, contributing to clinical quality improvement initiatives and community benefit programs to ensure access to top-tier surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ambulatory care and perform essential surgical procedures.
• Manage medical records to current policy standards.
• Comply with all managed care programs, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal/state reimbursement plans, including ethical and religious directives.
• Lead and participate in activities promoting clinical excellence and quality improvement within surgical services.
• Engage in medical staff committees.
• Provide on-call coverage to support urgent community needs when assigned.

Requirements

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon.
• Active Colorado medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Commitment to ongoing medical education and maintaining applicable board certification.
• High standards of medical ethics.
• Strong communication skills for patient and administrative interactions.
• Dedication to hospital operational matters, peer review, quality improvement, and community benefit services, including charity care.
