General Surgeon PRN

About This Role

As a General Surgeon at Riverton Hospital, you’ll provide PRN call coverage alongside a collaborative team of three surgeons and one APP in a highly regarded clinical environment with strong facility resources and access to advanced surgical technology, including robotics. You’ll care for patients across a broad range of bread-and-butter general surgery, including gallbladder, hernia, foregut, breast, and colon procedures, with excellent support from OR, nursing, and ancillary teams.

Schedule & Call Coverage

• Provide 24-hour call coverage at Riverton Hospital for seven shifts per month, including expected weekend call
• Additional call beyond seven shifts per month may be available at an additional contracted rate
• Additional call coverage at Alta View Hospital may also be available at an additional contracted rate
• Optional 0.5–1 clinic day per week for follow-up visits

Compensation

• $946 per 24-hour shift
• $1,046 per 24-hour shift for any shifts beyond seven per month
• PRN positions are not eligible for benefits; however, Intermountain offers PRN caregivers access to several valuable programs and resources, including participation in the 401(k) Program, Learning and Development resources, the Wellness Program, Employee Assistance Program, pet insurance, employee discounts, and malpractice insurance coverage

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• BLS and DEA
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
