PRN Float Pharmacist - Community - Maine

About the role

This is a Per Diem Float Pharmacist position for Maine. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis. The role involves floating between pharmacies in Maine, including Biddeford, Brunswick, Lewiston, Portland, and others. The schedule for Genoa Healthcare Pharmacies is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Candidates must have some availability during that time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in state of Maine
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire
• Current pharmacist license in state of New Hampshire or willing to obtain

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 to $79.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
