Key Responsibilities
- Respond immediately to any onsite injury, illness, or medical concern.
- Keep a fully stocked quick-response bag accessible at all times.
- Triage & Assessment: Provide first aid, escalate care when needed, and determine whether referral to Occupational Health or an ER is appropriate.
- Escort Support: Accompany employees to external medical providers when further evaluation is required.
- Follow-Up Care: Check in with employees post-incident to ensure compliance with work restrictions and progress toward recovery.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain clear, detailed logs of all incidents for reporting and compliance.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois EMT (EMT or EMT-B) certification.
- Experience in emergency care or occupational response.
- Ability to stay calm and think clearly in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Comfort working in a construction-site setting.
- A proactive, approachable mindset and willingness to engage with crews.
Scheduling
This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling. Coverage is needed Monday through Saturday, and we will work with candidates to create schedules that meet both site needs and your availability.
