PRN Dialysis Patient Care Technician

About the role

Provide safe, effective dialysis therapy under supervision in a clinical setting with exposure to infectious materials, moderate noise, and temperature-controlled conditions. The role requires attention to detail and focus in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including initiating and stopping dialysis treatments.
• Monitor and document vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments; report abnormalities.
• Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administer heparin as permitted.
• Accurately document treatment details and prepare lab specimens.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of two years of dialysis technician experience.
• Dialysis certification required.
• Able to meet physical demands, including prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
