Role Overview
This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging services, primarily in radiology and CT modalities. The technologist independently performs a variety of technical procedures, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include verifying orders, obtaining clinical histories, preparing equipment, and executing procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
Key Duties
- Set up and operate imaging equipment, position patients, administer contrast media, respond to emergencies, and ensure proper identification and documentation.
- Maintain equipment functionality, follow infection control standards, and deliver patient education to reduce anxiety.
- Contribute to quality control by producing acceptable images, troubleshooting equipment issues, and submitting studies promptly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Requires an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of radiology experience (CT preferred).
- Must possess excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control is essential.
