PRN Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 (XR2) - On Call - Schenectady, NY

What You’ll Do

• Operate Omnicell automation systems at customer sites following SOPs and best practices.
• Manage inventory levels and perform restocking duties.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of XR2 equipment.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a liaison between Omnicell and the customer.

Basic Qualifications

• A High school diploma or GED.
• An Active New York State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration.
• An Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA CPhT / ExCPT).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy automation.
• Preferred Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program completion.
• 2+ years of hospital pharmacy automation experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills with automation devices.

Work Conditions

• The PRN is an On Call position to support / serve as back up for Call Ins/Sick Calls, Vacations, LOAs, etc. for our Lima / Toledo OH site(s).
• Must be able to commute to work at this site: 1101 Nott Street, Schenectady, NY 12308.
• Day Shift: M – F, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm (may subject to change).
• Possess flexible availabilities (i.e., PRN match well if you are able to support shift listed when On Call, or, currently retired CPhT, working 7 on 7 off, PRN status, Part-Timer, etc.).
• Hospital Pharmacy Environment.
• Ability to travel for training.
• Pharmacy environment; 8–10-hour shifts.
• Flexible hours based on business needs.
• Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Potential exposure to hazardous drugs.

Base Compensation

Hourly Range from $23/hour and up. (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as location, education, experience, and skillset.)
