About the role
The Menchey School of Music, part of Menchey Music Service, is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Piano Instructor to join our team at our Gambrills lesson studio. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building meaningful student relationships, crafting engaging lessons, and being part of a music-centered community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, personalized lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that supports musical growth
- Prepare students for recitals and inspire participation in performance opportunities
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and staff
- Maintain accurate lesson and attendance records through our digital system
- Show up each day with reliability, professionalism, and enthusiasm
Requirements
- A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination
- A bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are also encouraged to apply
- Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred
- Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment

- Confidence and effectiveness in delivering one-on-one instruction

- Comfortable using a digital scheduling system

Pay
$34 - $44/hr, depending on education & experience
Schedule
Minimum Availability: One weeknight (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM) or One consistent 4-hour block on Saturdays
