About the role

Independent lacrosse coaches in Smithtown, New York work on their own schedule, providing private lessons to families that STXZ matches with you. You run the sessions, choose drills, pacing, and structure, and submit a brief lesson report after each session.

How it works

• Family requests a lesson through STXZ.
• STXZ sends you a client offer with details.
• You review and decide whether to accept (no quotas or penalties for declining).
• If you accept, you contact the client within 24 hours, agree on schedule and location, and conduct the session.
• After the session you submit a quick lesson briefing on the platform.
• STXZ processes payment and handles client billing, refunds, and disputes.

Compensation

• $35 – $50 per one‑hour session, paid as a flat per‑lesson rate (rates set by STXZ, vary by market and confirmed in writing before your first lesson).
• Payout within 24–48 hours after you submit your lesson briefing, via PayPal.
• 1099‑NEC issued at year end if you earn $2,000 or more through the platform.
• No guaranteed minimum number of lessons; volume depends on client demand.

Schedule

• Most lessons run weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends.
• You choose when to work and can pause availability at any time.
• You control your own schedule, travel radius, equipment, and teaching methods.

Requirements

• Coaching experience at youth, high school, club, or college level, or playing experience at high school varsity, club, college, or professional level.
• 18 years or older.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to complete a third‑party background check arranged by STXZ.
• Reliable transportation to training locations.
• Own lacrosse stick and basic training equipment (cones, balls, training aids).
• Strong communication with parents, players, and the STXZ team.
• Professionalism and confidence working independently with families and youth athletes.
