About the role

Dry Dock coaches lead clients through the different modalities that encompass our low-impact 50-minute classes—rowing, strength, and mobility. Our coaches are the backbone of the studio: they build relationships, motivate, and hold members accountable to guide them on their fitness journey. Classes are small, allowing coaches to give personalized attention in a group environment. Dry Dock coaches empower clients to find a stronger version of themselves and are held to a high standard to ensure member safety. All coaches must complete Dry Dock’s comprehensive training program, which features small training groups for individualized support and tight-knit relationships with the training team.

Prior fitness teaching experience is not required. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a new fitness location coming to the Raleigh area.

What we are looking for

  • Optimism and hard work with a love for health, fitness, and the Dry Dock workout
  • Passion for helping others become the strongest version of themselves and achieve their goals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Prior group fitness experience is a plus but not required
  • Outgoing and personable with a desire to build relationships within and outside the Dry Dock community
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Genuine desire to inspire and motivate others
  • Reliable and professional
  • Comfortable on a mic leading a fast-paced class with loud music and a lot of energy in the room
  • Musicality is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all monthly staff meetings and training events—virtual or in-person—to learn new techniques and best practices
  • Interact and form relationships with clients and the fitness community, creating a fitness space that is welcoming and inclusive of all backgrounds and abilities
  • Embody the Dry Dock brand and culture
  • Assist sales associates and the General Manager with studio tours and sales as needed
  • Build and retain clientele
  • Complete Dry Dock Coach Training within the first month of onboarding and pass all required evaluations
