Qualifications
- A proven track record of promoting student learning through volleyball
- At least two years of experience in coaching
- Technical volleyball knowledge to successfully coach college-bound players
- Ability to support the interest of high-level volleyball student-athletes in the School's admission candidate pool
- Strong written and oral communication skills and experience working collaboratively in team settings
- Approaches the profession with maturity, humility, versatility, solutions-mindedness with a strong work ethic, and, of course, a sense of humor
Responsibilities
- Champion the philosophy and culture for the new girls' volleyball program, promoting sportsmanship, academic excellence, and personal growth
- Help recruit, develop, and retain student-athletes in their program
- Devise daily practice plans and facilitate practices
- Collaborate with the Head Coach and Athletics Office on game scheduling
- Remain current in the rules and procedures of their sport at the league, state, and national level
- Serve on seeding committees and organizations, as appropriate
- Be knowledgeable about the college recruiting timelines in their sport, and support student-athletes who want to attempt to continue playing in college
- Maintain an updated social media presence, including timely game results in season, and work with our Communications Office to promote their program and their student-athletes
- Assist any efforts of the Advancement Office related to their program
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Hill alumni in their sport
- Serve on the Athletics Advisory Team, which meets regularly throughout the year
