Volleyball Coach
Since 1994, SPORTIME has been proud to operate the finest tennis and sports facilities in New York State. SPORTIME’s 20 club locations recently expanded to include the iconic Port Washington Tennis Academy, now SPORTIME Port Washington. SPORTIME currently offers 192 indoor and outdoor tennis courts and 131 pickleball courts, as well as rinks, turf, camps, gyms and more, across Long Island, NYC, Westchester, and the NY Capital Region. SPORTIME clubs are state-of-the-art yet affordable, featuring the best tennis, pickleball, sports, and camp facilities and programs, including the John McEnroe Tennis Academy (JMTA) and SPORTIME Volleyball Club (VBC). Clubs serve individuals of every age and athletic ability, 365 days a year.
Location: SPORTIME Englewood
About the role
To develop VBC players and teams through skill development and team training sessions and to provide coaching during all VBC competitions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of VBC training plans throughout the club season
- Develop team training plans for respective teams and implement those plans at each club practice
- Provide coaching supervision during all VBC competitions
- Communicate with club parents during all overnight events
- Ensure safety of all players
Requirements
- Extensive high-level playing, teaching, and/or coaching experience in volleyball
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Excellent people skills
Pay
$22–$30 per hour plus tournament coaching fees
Schedule
Part-time, minimum 2–4 hours per week. Coaches will be required to coach 3–9 weekend competitions based on each team’s individual playing schedule.
