Courthouse Volleyball Coach Position Position: Courthouse Volleyball Coach Reports To: Volleyball Club Directors Job Purpose: Courthouse Volleyball Club is seeking motivated, organized, and team-oriented coaches who are passionate about athlete development and creating a positive, competitive team environment. Coaching within our program goes beyond running drills and managing game play. We are looking for coaches who can provide leadership, structure, accountability, communication, and consistency while helping athletes grow both on and off the court. Our coaches play an important role in shaping player development, team culture, and the overall experience within our club. We are committed to building a professional, development-focused program and are looking for coaches who align with those values. Season Responsibilities Adhere to and uphold all standards outlined in the Courthouse Volleyball Coach and Player HandbookAttend required coach, parent, and club meetingsCoordinate practice schedules, tournament logistics, and team communication with Club DirectorsCreate intentional, organized, and development-focused practice plansAttend scheduled practices, tournaments, clinics, and club eventsMaintain consistent communication with players, parents, and club leadershipCommunicate tournament details, schedules, and team expectations in a timely and organized mannerUtilize SportsEngine and approved club communication systems as directedFoster a structured, accountable, and positive team environmentClearly communicate expectations regarding effort, attendance, attitude, and behaviorApply team standards and consequences fairly and consistently across all playersAddress team or parent concerns proactively and professionallyRepresent Courthouse Volleyball professionally at all practices, tournaments, and club eventsReinforce expectations regarding sportsmanship, facility respect, and overall team culture Off-Season Responsibilities Continue athlete engagement through camps, clinics, lessons, and player development opportunitiesSupport club programming including camps, clinics, tryouts, and seasonal eventsAssist with fundraising, sponsorship opportunities, and player retention initiatives as directed by Club LeadershipAttend summer camps, preseason clinics, evaluations, and tryouts as assigned Coaching Philosophy & Expectations At Courthouse Volleyball Club, we believe athletes thrive in an environment built on: Clear communicationConsistencyAccountabilityStructureRespectLeadership We Are Looking For Coaches Who Understand That Players need both encouragement and accountability to developTeam culture must be intentionally built and maintainedParent communication is a critical part of successful team managementProfessionalism, punctuality, and reliability are non-negotiable Our expectation is that coaches lead with professionalism while creating a competitive, positive, and development-focused experience for every athlete.
