Private Lacrosse Coach

About the role

STXZ Lacrosse connects families with independent lacrosse coaches. As an independent coach in Oyster Bay, you will receive client requests for private lessons, run the sessions on your own schedule, and handle lesson briefings through the platform.

How it works

When a family requests lessons, STXZ sends you a client offer with details. You review and decide whether to accept. If you accept, you contact the client within 24 hours, agree on schedule and location, run the session using your professional judgment, submit a brief lesson report, and get paid.

Responsibilities

• Contact the client within 24 hours of receiving an offer.
• Agree on schedule and location (home, field, park, etc.).
• Run the lacrosse session, choosing drills, pacing, and structure.
• Submit a quick lesson briefing on the STXZ platform after each session.
• Maintain professional communication with parents, players, and the STXZ team.

Requirements

• Coaching experience at youth, high school, club, or college level, or playing experience at high school varsity, club, college, or professional level.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to complete a third‑party background check arranged by STXZ.
• Reliable transportation to training locations in your area.
• Your own lacrosse stick and basic training equipment (cones, balls, training aids).
• Strong communication skills with parents, players, and the STXZ team.
• Professionalism and confidence working independently with families and youth athletes.

Pay

• $35 – $50 per one‑hour session, paid as a flat per‑lesson rate.
• Rates are set by STXZ, vary by market and demand, and are confirmed in writing before the first lesson.
• Payout within 24–48 hours after you submit your lesson briefing, via PayPal.
• 1099‑NEC issued at year end if you earn $2,000 or more through the platform.
• No fee to apply and nothing due up front; the $30 annual liability‑coverage fee is recovered from your first lesson payout.

Schedule

Most lessons run weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends. You choose when to work, can pause your availability at any time, and set your own travel radius (from a few miles up to 35 + miles).
