Private Lacrosse Coach

About the role

STXZ Lacrosse is a technology platform that connects families with independent lacrosse coaches across the United States. As an independent coach in South Burlington, you will receive client requests for private lessons, run the sessions using your own methods, and submit a brief lesson report after each session. The platform handles client acquisition, billing, and payment processing, allowing you to focus on coaching.

Responsibilities

• Review client offers sent by STXZ and decide whether to accept.
• Contact the client directly within 24 hours of accepting an offer.
• Agree on schedule and location (home, local field, park, etc.) with the client.
• Conduct the lacrosse lesson, selecting drills, pacing, and structure based on your professional judgment.
• Submit a quick lesson briefing on the STXZ platform after each session.
• Maintain communication with parents, players, and the STXZ team as needed.

Requirements

• Coaching experience at the youth, high school, club, or college level, **or** playing experience at the high school varsity, club, college, or professional level.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to complete a third‑party background check arranged by STXZ before receiving full client details.
• Reliable transportation to training locations in your area.
• Own lacrosse stick and basic training equipment (cones, balls, training aids).
• Strong communication skills with parents, players, and the STXZ team.
• Professionalism and confidence working independently with families and youth athletes.

Pay

Coaches earn $35 to $50 per one‑hour session, paid as a flat per‑lesson rate. Rates are set by STXZ, vary by market and demand, and are confirmed in writing before the first lesson. Payout occurs within 24–48 hours after you submit your lesson briefing via PayPal. Coaches who earn $2,000 or more in a year receive a 1099‑NEC. There is no fee to apply and nothing is due up‑front; the $30 annual liability‑coverage fee is recovered from your first lesson payout.

Schedule

Most lessons run on weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends. You control when you work, can pause your availability at any time, and set your own travel radius (from a few miles up to 35 + miles).
