About the role

Coach lacrosse on your own schedule in Waldwick, New Jersey. STXZ Lacrosse has 1 opening for independent lacrosse coaches in the Waldwick area to cover client requests for private lessons we can't currently fill. We bring you the clients. You run the sessions. STXZ is a technology platform that connects families with independent lacrosse coaches across the United States. We send you clients in your area, handle the administrative work, and get out of your way so you can coach.

Responsibilities

• Receive a client offer with details when a family near Waldwick requests lessons through STXZ.
• Review the offer and decide whether to accept (no quotas, no pressure, no penalty for declining).
• If accepted, contact the client directly within 24 hours.
• Agree with the client on schedule and location (their home, a local field, a park, or your choice).
• Run the session your way: drills, pacing, and structure are your professional judgment.
• Submit a quick lesson briefing on the platform after the session.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Willing to complete a third‑party background check arranged by STXZ before receiving full client details.
• Reliable transportation to training locations in your area.
• Your own stick and basic training equipment (cones, balls, training aids).

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at the youth, high school, club, or college level, OR playing experience at the high school varsity, club, college, or professional level.

Skills

• Strong communication with parents, players, and the STXZ team.
• Professionalism and confidence working independently with families and youth athletes.

• Flexibility to work when you want and pause your availability anytime.
• Control over your schedule, methods, territory (set your own travel radius from a few miles to 35+ miles), and approach (choose equipment for each session).
• STXZ handles client acquisition, matching, payment processing, billing, refunds, and disputes.
• Liability coverage: active coaches are enrolled in STXZ's platform liability coverage program for sessions booked through STXZ; program fee is $30 per year, $0 down, recovered from your first lesson payout once you start coaching (limited to platform‑booked sessions; you may also carry personal insurance).

Pay

Earn $35 to $50 per one‑hour session, paid as a flat per‑lesson rate. Rates are set by STXZ, vary by market and demand, and are confirmed in writing before your first lesson. Payout within 24 to 48 hours after you submit your lesson briefing, via PayPal. A 1099‑NEC is issued at year end if you earn $2,000 or more through the platform. Paid per completed session; lesson volume depends on client demand in your area, and STXZ does not guarantee a minimum number of lessons.

Schedule

Most lessons run weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends. Work when you want and pause your availability anytime.
