Key Responsibilities
- Advising high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning matters
- Drafting complex wills, trusts and other wealth transfer documents
- Managing estate and trust administration from probate through final distribution and closing
- Preparing client presentations and estate planning analyses
- Performing tax calculations and advising on transfer tax planning strategies
- Providing practical advice on trust and estate administration issues
- Supervising paralegals and coordinating workflow across client matters
- Building strong client relationships while working independently and collaboratively within the team
Who You Are
- A 5th–7th year associate
- Significant trusts and estates experience gained within a law firm
- Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
- Strong estate planning and estate administration experience
- Extensive drafting experience involving sophisticated wills and trusts
- Strong tax background
- LL.M. in Taxation (required)
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong organizational, communication and client management skills
- Detail-oriented with supervisory experience preferred
- Admitted to the New York Bar or eligible to waive into New York
Compensation
- Salary Range: $285,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
