Key Responsibilities

  • Advising high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning matters
  • Drafting complex wills, trusts and other wealth transfer documents
  • Managing estate and trust administration from probate through final distribution and closing
  • Preparing client presentations and estate planning analyses
  • Performing tax calculations and advising on transfer tax planning strategies
  • Providing practical advice on trust and estate administration issues
  • Supervising paralegals and coordinating workflow across client matters
  • Building strong client relationships while working independently and collaboratively within the team

Who You Are

  • A 5th–7th year associate
  • Significant trusts and estates experience gained within a law firm
  • Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Strong estate planning and estate administration experience
  • Extensive drafting experience involving sophisticated wills and trusts
  • Strong tax background
  • LL.M. in Taxation (required)
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong organizational, communication and client management skills
  • Detail-oriented with supervisory experience preferred
  • Admitted to the New York Bar or eligible to waive into New York

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $285,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
