Responsibilities

• Proactively engage in business development by connecting with prospective private banking members and inviting them to join TowneBank Private Banking as their primary bank.
• Focus on deposit-driven core relationship development with trusted advisor competencies to understand and address the complex needs of high-net-worth financial relationships.
• Bring new private banking deposit relationships to meet minimum portfolio balances and complement TFSG sales revenue objectives within a stated timeframe.
• Service the existing portfolio proactively, identifying opportunities, retaining members, and providing exquisite service with follow-up.
• Collaborate closely with the entire relationship team to ensure professional service levels with a high sense of urgency.
• Share and leverage individual talents to create a superior team reputation in the marketplace while upholding the TowneBank brand.
• Maintain current relationship files, updating communication and exceptions as needed.
• Partner with teammates and outside resources to anticipate and respond to all member needs quickly.
• Review, analyze, and make decisions on member requests for personal and small business credit needs.
• Promote TowneBank within the community by serving on boards and networking in medical, legal, and professional circles.
• Represent the bank at sponsored community activities.
• Adhere to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High sense of urgency and strong decision-making abilities.
• Previous banking experience.
• Extensive knowledge of loan documentation and regulations.
• Proven business development and sales skills.
• Excellent communication skills and professional interaction abilities.
• High degree of personal integrity.
• Goal-oriented and self-motivated.
• Broad knowledge of all bank products and affiliates with strong cross-selling abilities.
• Strong connections to and relationships with referral sources and centers of influence in the market.
• Ability to build strong, respectful team relationships and delegate appropriately to create workflow efficiencies.

Qualifications

• College degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (desired).
• Background in Private Banking, Trust, or related field (desired).
• Retail and commercial lending experience (desired).
• Local market experience (desired).
• Proficiency in proper account documentation, BSA requirements, and resolution of complex issues.
• Strong listening skills, resolution-driven in a positive manner, and ability to multitask daily.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

• Express or exchange ideas through spoken word, email, and verbal communication.
• Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
• Close visual acuity for analyzing data, viewing computer terminals, reading, and preparing documentation.
• Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
