Privacy Attorney/Manager

About the role

A Latitude client in the financial services industry is seeking a privacy professional to support its legal team for 20–40 hours per week, working fully remotely. This is an initial three‑month contract engagement with possible extension. The role involves handling privacy matters such as vendor contracts, data processing agreements, privacy notices, and records of processing activities.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts, including AI terms and data processing agreements (DPAs)
• Preparing and analyzing records of processing activities (ROPAs) using information from vendor Trust Centers and vendor risk assessments
• Reviewing and updating privacy policies and notices
• Supporting the organization's broader privacy management program

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in privacy and data protection law, in a law firm or in‑house setting
• Privacy management experience, including contract review of AI terms and DPAs
• Experience conducting ROPA analysis based on vendor Trust Center information and/or vendor risk assessments
• Experience reviewing and drafting privacy policies and privacy notices

Qualifications

• Financial industry experience preferred
• International privacy experience in Canada, the UK, or Australia preferred

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $124,000 to $187,200 when calculated on a full‑time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on factors such as work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference.

Schedule

20 to 40 hours per week, fully remote.
