About the role

The ideal candidate will operate screen printing equipment to produce high-quality printed grass cloth, fabric, and wallpaper products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a passion for creating visually stunning designs. It is a highly visible position that plays a key role in shaping and supporting Schumacher’s manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust screens for printing
• Prepare screens and ink for production runs
• Monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistency
• Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow production schedules and meet deadlines for completing printing jobs
• Inspect prints for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Work collaboratively with design and production teams to achieve project goals

Requirements

• Able to lift and physically print on grasscloth, fabric, and wallpaper using screens and printing equipment
• Strong understanding of color, paint, and printing techniques
• Ability to interpret design specifications and reproduce patterns accurately
• Attention to detail and quality with a focus on precise printing
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting equipment issues
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy rolls of wallpaper
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and change direction based on business needs
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Action-oriented and enjoys working hard and smart
• A team player who is cooperative, gains trust, and supports peers
• An "all hands on deck" mentality, willing to pitch in with multiple team members
• Able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
