Job Description

The Printer Mechanic role is responsible for maintaining production equipment in the printer area and responding to trouble calls as needed.

  • Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
  • Performs printer general maintenance.
  • Utilizes quarterbacking to facilitate changeovers.
  • Supports production in all areas to troubleshoot and address problems.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory.
  • Documents daily maintenance activity.
  • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains an excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience. At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including successful completion of jobs or similar activities. Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for lengthy periods (frequent).
  • Sitting for extended periods (frequent).
  • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional).
  • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent).
  • Working in a hot/cold environment.
  • Working a rotating 12-hour schedule.
  • Able to lift to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
