Printer Field Svc Technician, II
About the role
We’re actively seeking an individual to diagnose and resolve basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures. Responsibilities include servicing and repairing designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications. This role involves maintaining working knowledge of multiple product groups, troubleshooting, and providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field and shop maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
- Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
- Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups.
- Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate field/Shop/on-site maintenance.
- Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
- Maintain all technical information and Canon property assigned and provide direction to less experienced technicians.
- Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service-related problem areas for any territory requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- At least 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- A basic understanding of internet environments.
- The ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- The capability to work in a 24/7 environment, perform shift work, and participate in on-call rotations.
- To obtain necessary security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter their premises.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $21.50-30.75 per hour. This role is also eligible for a transportation allowance.
Schedule
This role requires full-time presence at the assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory on scheduled work days.
