Print Production Lead

About the role

Literati is a modern children's book company dedicated to enhancing reading skills and fostering a love of learning and life in children. As a Print Operations Lead, you will be responsible for producing high-quality printed materials for various Literati initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate production level printing and mailing equipment
• Operate mailing inserters and envelope printing equipment
• Assist with preflight and layout setup for jobs as needed
• Perform operations and programing of hydraulic guillotine cutters
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of on-site equipment
• Requests equipment service calls as needed
• Assists with monthly inventory counts
• Assists in opening/closing site under management supervision
• Properly distribute completed print jobs to fulfillment center
• Estimate print and labor costs of proposed print assets
• Complete monthly reports on volumes and billing

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of high-volume print shop or equivalent experience preferred
• Knowledge of spreadsheets preferred (Google Sheets)
• Experience with Fiery, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe CC preferred
• Customer service experience preferred

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform light to medium lifting including cases of paper (up to 60 lbs.) and push wheeled carts and/or dollies; large amount of time spent standing
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-pressure work environment with a variety of different personnel

Pay

The starting rate for this position is $22/hr.
