Location: Erlanger, KY (Onsite) – 1st Shift Leadership Role managing 24/7 operations across three shifts, including rotating Saturdays among leadership.

About The Role

Conduent is seeking an experienced Print Operations Manager to lead high-volume transactional print, mail, and insert operations supporting critical customer communications. This position is responsible for ensuring production performance, quality standards, client service commitments, and financial objectives are consistently achieved in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment. The successful candidate will bring leadership experience from commercial printing, transactional print, document services, mail operations, fulfillment, or manufacturing environments. This role oversees supervisors and production teams across three shifts while driving operational excellence, employee engagement, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Production & Operations Leadership
    • Lead print, inserting, and mail production operations across multiple shifts.
    • Ensure all customer service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, and production commitments are achieved.
    • Oversee daily production schedules, workflow management, capacity planning, and staffing requirements.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for production, quality, equipment, and delivery issues.
    • Manage operational performance to meet productivity, quality, service, and financial targets.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, coach, and develop Shift Supervisors, Team Leads, and Operations staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and operational excellence.
    • Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and employee development planning.
    • Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
    • Provide leadership coverage and operational support as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.
    • Monitor operational metrics and drive corrective actions where needed.
    • Reduce waste and improve labor utilization, productivity, and cost performance.
    • Promote cross-training initiatives to increase operational flexibility across shifts.
    • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Equipment, Inventory & Vendor Management
    • Partner with maintenance teams and equipment vendors to maximize uptime and preventive maintenance compliance.
    • Oversee inventory management of paper, envelopes, inserts, and production supplies.
    • Ensure inventory levels support customer requirements while maintaining cost controls.
    • Manage operational readiness for production demands and client commitments.
  • Client & Business Management
    • Participate in client meetings and operational reviews.
    • Build strong customer relationships and support service delivery excellence.
    • Provide operational updates, reporting, and performance insights to leadership and clients.
    • Ensure compliance with all client, regulatory, security, and Conduent policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in Print or Mail Operations, Manufacturing Operations, or relevant fields.
  • Preferred leadership experience in the following areas:
    • Commercial Printing
    • Transactional Print Operations
    • Mail Operations
    • Document Services
    • Manufacturing Operations
    • Fulfillment Operations
  • Experience managing supervisors and production personnel in a multi-shift environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading SLA-driven operations.
  • Experience with workforce planning, production scheduling, and operational metrics.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-volume transactional print and mail operations.
  • Experience with high-speed inkjet printing technologies.
  • Experience managing inserting, mailing, or customer communications operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification.
  • Experience supporting financial services, healthcare, government, or large enterprise customers.
  • Prior experience in commercial print production, statement processing, direct mail, or customer communications management environments.

Pay

The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000–$85,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive based on business need.
