Print and Mail Systems Analyst (Administrative Officer 2)
About the role
The Print and Mail Systems Analyst (Administrative Officer 2) position within the Department of General Services supports important statewide operations. Key responsibilities include providing development and oversight for major applications, managing technical tasks, collaborating with users, and maintaining the PaPublisher system.
Responsibilities
- User Collaboration: Work with users to identify challenges and improve the function and layout of internal and external applications
- System Management: Manage and maintain the PaPublisher system and ensure successful integration with print production operations
- Variable Data Expertise: Design variable data print streams and manage related resources to meet project and regulatory requirements
- Software Configuration: Customize production software to meet workflow, printing, and mail inserting needs across the Bureau
- Process Coordination: Coordinate system updates, documentation, and testing to ensure strong performance and minimal downtime
Requirements
This role requires one year as an Administrative Officer 1 (or equivalent Federal Government job title) or three years of experience in office management or staff work, including personnel management, budgeting, or procurement. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required. Additional requirements include experience in application development, technical oversight, variable data printing, print and mail production workflows, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications
- Experience in application development and technical oversight, including customer portals and internal workflow systems related to print manufacturing
- Experience with variable data printing (VDP), including template design, data manipulation, and conditional logic
- Demonstrated understanding of print and mail production workflows, including print-on-demand environments
- At least 5 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e. InDesign, Acrobat, etc.)
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to perform essential job functions
