About the role
The Print and Mail Services Clerk position involves reviewing incoming print jobs, scheduling them, operating high-volume digital and wide format printers, performing bindery/finishing processes, handling mail and packages, and maintaining equipment.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare print jobs for printing, adjusting as necessary
- Schedule jobs to meet deadlines and manage multiple orders
- Operate and maintain high-volume digital and wide format printers
- Perform quality control inspections on printed output
- Maintain print requisition records in SharePoint
- Perform bindery/finishing processes as required
- Receive, process, and deliver incoming mail and packages
- Operate postage meters and use shipping software
- Inspect incoming mail and packages for security threats using x-ray equipment
- Keep daily records for all incoming and outgoing items
- Work safely, use PPE, and inspect areas for safety hazards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience in print and bindery operations preferred
- Basic math skills, including working with decimals and fractions
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organization and prioritization skills
- Able to lift and/or carry up to 70lbs
- Able to stand and/or walk up to 6.5 hours per day
Qualifications
- Must be able to operate postage meters and use shipping software
- Must be able to inspect mail and packages for security threats using x-ray equipment
- Must be able to perform bindery/finishing processes as required
Skills
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in mail center operations
