About the Role
BAE Systems is seeking creative, innovative engineers with prior systems, hardware, or software engineering experience with the potential to outthink world class reverse engineers. Responsibilities
- Design security architectures based on requirements from your analysis of adversary threats and proposed countermeasures
- Implement and test security countermeasures according to the guidance provided by the U.S. Government
- Work with Security State of the Art (S-SOTA) technologies
- Provide our customers with sophisticated, defense-in-depth security solutions
Work Environment
Due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Qualifications
This role involves understanding systems engineering techniques and processes and requires a bachelor's degree plus four or more years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
We are very interested in candidates with 6 plus years of experience and any of the following experience:
- Cryptographic algorithm implementation
- Configuring security features of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) S-SOTA components
- Firmware development for COTS S-SOTA components such as Xilinx or Microsemi FPGAs
- Applying secure coding practices, securing operating systems, and virtualization
- Board Support Package configuration
- Boot loader configuration and modification
- Implementing and configuring security protocols
- Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or MagicDraw
- Developing positive customer relationships
- Product design development and design analysis for manufacturability and maintainability
Pay & Benefits
Full-Time Salary Range: $118,095 - $200,762. This range is based on market pay structures; individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.
