About the role
The Principal UX Designer develops and executes user experience strategy for ComplianceQuest products, translating user needs into intuitive and scalable designs within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Vision: Develop and lead the user experience strategy, aligning it with business goals and user needs.
- User Research: Conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesize insights to inform design decisions for complex user flows and data-rich interfaces.
- Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and AI, ensuring responsiveness and visual consistency with the ComplianceQuest Design System.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, developers, software QA, and stakeholders to deliver simple, intuitive, and familiar solutions.
- Design Governance & Standards: Establish and maintain design governance, develop and maintain design systems, promote design system consistency, and advocate for accessibility, usability, and responsiveness best practices in all ComplianceQuest applications.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor designers and developers on UX best practices and interaction design principles.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the overall quality and consistency of UX/UI designs, providing constructive feedback and direction to the team and ensures each UX designer adheres to a consistent standard for assigned features.
- Salesforce Expertise: Design and build solutions that leverage the Salesforce platform, and integrations, ensuring they align with Salesforce best practices.
- Stay current on assigned internal CQ training as assigned in the CQ-QMS
- Comply with all internal CQ Quality and Information Security requirements
- All other responsibilities / duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Industrial Product Design, Computer Science, or a related discipline required. Equivalent professional experience and education may be considered.
- Experience: 10+ years in UX/UI design, with significant experience in a lead role and demonstrated experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce applications.
- Design Tools: Proficiency with design and prototyping using Figma.
- Technical Understanding: Understanding of how design translates into functional components and familiarity with front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML/CSS).
- Salesforce Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce platform and proficiency with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS2).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design vision, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive consensus.
