About the Role

Join our Rotary Wing Platform Systems Team within the Military Avionics group at Collins Aerospace. Here, you will play a crucial role in developing and testing avionics for Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs. This dynamic position offers flexibility to push the boundaries of technology, enhancing the capabilities of military helicopter platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) activities for SOA helicopter programs, including creation of design artifacts and decisions, execution of test procedures, and lab testing.
• Complete work for avionics solutions across cockpit avionics for SOA programs using tools such as DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft Office Suite, and SVN.
• Navigate bids and pursuits, adhering to Collins Aerospace processes for SOA programs.
• Lead customer discussions alongside program chiefs and architects.
• Design system solutions, ensuring integration of Collins Aerospace products into complex upgrade programs while collaborating with other military helicopter programs.
• Provide mentorship to other engineers within the Platform Systems team and across the department.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience within a Systems Engineering role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
• Experience with Collins Aerospace’s Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS).
• Experience with DARs, bids and pursuit processes.
• Proficiency with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA, and/or Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $107,500 - $204,500 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
