About the Role

This role provides IT systems administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment, ensuring 24x7 operations with occasional on-call or after-hours maintenance. Travel up to 5% domestically may be required.

The ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance is required from day one; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (AD), and server replication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues involving hardware, operating systems, and software integration.
  • Implement and manage data RAID, backup, and recovery technologies.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain compliance with security requirements.
  • Install, configure, and document software applications requested by end users.
  • Provide user and system documentation, process training, and ongoing technical support.
  • Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 certification within 6 months of start date.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience (or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience).
  • Experience with Active Directory, VMware vCenter, vSphere, or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience with Windows deployment, administration, security hardening, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity products.
  • Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD, commensurate with experience, location, and skills.
