About the role

As the Principal, Supply Chain Transformation within the Technical Operations Division, you will serve as a key planning subject matter expert and strategic advisor for major Supply Chain Transformation initiatives. This role provides strategic recommendations, challenges assumptions, validates solution designs, and helps ensure new planning capabilities, processes, and technologies deliver measurable improvements in material availability, inventory performance, productivity, cost, and long-term value. Operating with broad cross-functional influence, you will partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Technology, Finance, Procurement, and Program leaders to ensure transformational changes are practical, adopted, and sustained.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert in supply chain planning, inventory optimization, forecasting, and planning process design.
  • Act as an internal consultant to Supply Chain leadership, providing strategic recommendations and challenging assumptions to ensure decisions are grounded in data, operational realities, and industry best practices.
  • Challenge current and future-state business processes, systems, requirements, and solution designs to ensure best-in-class planning capabilities are delivered.
  • Lead the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of planning processes, operating models, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities to improve material availability, increase productivity, reduce inventory investment, and lower operating costs.
  • Partner with business, technology, and operational teams to translate complex challenges into practical, scalable solutions and support transformation initiatives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment, communication, and engagement to support adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and progress updates on transformation outcomes.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation, or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, transformation, operational excellence, consulting, analytics, finance, or program management.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, Operations Research, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries (preferred).
  • Background in supply chain modernization, digital transformation, or operating model design (preferred).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
  • Experience with inventory optimization, forecasting, demand planning, service parts planning, or supply chain planning systems (preferred).
  • Experience with SQL, Databricks, Power BI, Excel, or other analytical and reporting tools (preferred).

  • Deep understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management, forecasting, inventory optimization, and operational planning principles.
  • Strategic thinking and enterprise-level problem solving.
  • Experience supporting organizational change associated with large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to develop strategic recommendations and translate complex business challenges into practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience conducting complex business analysis, developing executive-level recommendations, and translating data-driven insights into transformational business outcomes.
  • Ability to evaluate business processes, operating models, requirements, and technology solutions.
  • Experience challenging and validating solution designs, business requirements, and implementation approaches.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Process improvement and operational excellence skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity across complex initiatives.
