Principal Engineer – Program Management, Supply Chain Transformation

About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer – Program Management, Supply Chain Transformation to lead mid-to-large scale digital and AI-driven transformation initiatives across our global supply chain. This role will orchestrate complex cross-functional programs, manage senior executive stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of long-duration, high-impact initiatives across planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales operations.
The ideal candidate brings deep program management expertise, strong supply chain domain knowledge, hands-on experience with advanced planning tools (e.g., Blue Yonder ESP), and a solid technical foundation including SQL, Python, BI tools, and AI/ML concepts. Experience partnering with data science or AI engineering teams to operationalize decision-support models is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Program & Project Leadership
- Lead and deliver end-to-end supply chain transformation programs.
- Deliver mid-to-long duration programs on time and within scope, with measurable business outcomes.
- Own program scoping, governance, execution, risk, dependency management, and change control.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Business Units, Finance, IT, and Data/AI teams.
- Translate business requirements into executable program roadmaps and solution architectures.
- Stakeholder & Executive Management
- Engage senior executives, drive decision-making, and ensure strategic alignment across global functions.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and cross-organizational working groups.
- Supply Chain Systems Expertise
- Demonstrate deep expertise with advanced planning platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder ESP, SAP APO/IBP, Kinaxis, Oracle SCP).
- Partner with IT and product teams to define system integration, data flows, and optimization strategies.
- Technical Acumen (Enhanced with AI/ML)
- Analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, and analytics platforms to support insights, scenario modeling, and program decisions.
- Leverage Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to build executive dashboards and operational visuals.
- Apply AI/ML literacy to:
- Interpret model outputs from forecasting, optimization, or anomaly-detection models.
- Collaborate with data science teams to integrate machine learning into supply chain workflows.
- Assess feasibility, risks, and business impact of AI-driven decision systems.
- Use advanced Excel for modeling, simulation, and reporting.
- Create impactful PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences.
- Process Reengineering
- Identify and drive process simplification, standardization, and automation opportunities.
- Ensure digital solutions support scalability, agility, and long-term architectural alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain program/project management in high-tech or manufacturing.
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale digital transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain planning and execution processes.
- Hands-on experience with advanced planning systems (Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis).
Skills
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, Power BI/Tableau, and Advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Preferred experience with GenAI or AI/ML-driven decision support systems (forecasting, MEIO, optimization, anomaly detection, intelligent workflows).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and data engineering best practices.
- Exposure to project & product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, or similar.
Pay
The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York, or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado, and New York.
