Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support the Global Supply Chain Category Management Team. Responsibilities

  • Manage on-time requisition release, purchase order (PO) placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedules.
  • Manage material budgets for contract requirements and support baselining/Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.
  • Report and forecast material cost and performance for assigned programs using tools such as Cognos, CMEs, and IPRS.
  • Identify and manage program risks and opportunities related to material requirements.
  • Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements.
  • Monitor and address supplier capacity and production issues.
  • Maintain strong business acumen in a fast-paced production environment with leading-edge technology suppliers.
  • Define and develop material strategy, including assessment of supply resources, demand aggregation, and prioritization.
  • Plan inventory, distribution requirements, production, material, and rough-cut capacity for all products.
  • Participate in make/buy processes, long-term capacity and resource planning, product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line management.
  • Analyze and aggregate supply/demand requirements using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
  • Plan inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
  • Assess rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements.
  • Create or reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments.
  • Interface with the Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital, and other needs.
  • Create and release requisitions, and review requirements for non-standard parts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business, or a related field, or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the same fields.
  • Experience with SAP or any ERP system.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or Financial Planning.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements, including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR, and DFARS.

Pay

Primary salary range: $89,900.00 – $141,200.00. The final offer considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differentials, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice Presidents and Directors may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
