The Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist will serve as a linchpin in missions of paramount importance within the Space Sector’s Mission Enabling Products Business Unit. This role represents Supply Chain within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) with Program Management, Operations, Quality, and Engineering for the Commerce, CA facility. The candidate will act as a liaison between supply chain and program management, planning, quality, engineering, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Represent supply chain onsite as the focal point for coordinating and communicating supply chain management functions and status to internal groups to ensure requirements are met in accordance with customer needs.
  • Provide the linkage between supply chain, customer, program management, and internal support functions to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Communicate to program leadership on supply chain status, including execution issues and any items that may impact delivery.
  • Collaborate with buyers, supplier performance, and supplier quality to address systemic or major issues at suppliers requiring coordination with site or program functions.
  • Represent supply chain in internal daily and escalation meetings specific to the program.
  • Understand program deliverables, due dates, and basic technical knowledge of assigned programs.
  • Participate in pre-award contract kickoffs.
  • Engage with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) team and other cross-functional teams to develop and implement integrated system tools and processes within the Business Unit (BU).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, business/project management, or logistics. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems/tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or Supply Chain-related professional designation.
  • Experience in defense or aerospace systems.
  • Experience in a high program volume / low production rate environment.
  • Working knowledge of NGC Global Supply Chain, Business Development, and/or Manufacturing/Operations.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00. The above range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
