About the role
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Reliability Systems Engineer to join our team in various locations across the United States. This position requires a strong background in Reliability Engineering and a current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Responsibilities
- Dispositioning and validating data from maintainers.
- Working with responsible engineers to determine root cause of failure modes.
- Working with control centers to update/correct maintainer-entered data as necessary.
- Analyzing trending failure modes to generate recommendations.
- Collaborate with other Product Support functions in support of wider analyses.
- Lead customer meetings validating corrective action plan.
- Coach team on root cause analysis and design/software change implementation.
- Drive process improvements and streamlining.
Requirements
- Principal Reliability Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 years of related engineering experience.
- Sr Principal Reliability Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.
Qualifications
- Active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain subsequent SAP PARs following commencement of employment to be able to completely support statement of work.
Skills
- Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- Familiarity with data collection and analysis methods.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional team solving complex problems.
- Relevant experience in adjacent logistics support elements such as Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) & Maintenance Planning, Modeling & Simulation (ModSim), Support Equipment Engineering (SEE), Prognostics & Health Management (PHM), Supportable Low Observables (SLO), Obsolescence Management, Training & Training Systems, Technical Data, Support Hardware, Fleet & Field Support, and Product Support Management.
- ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer.
- Experience using reliability analysis software (Reliasoft preferred).
- Previous U.S. Military experience with operations and/or aircraft maintenance background.
Pay
- Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $171,000.00
- Secondary Level Salary Range: $116,300.00 - $213,400.00
