About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking an experienced program planning professional to support our Strategic Communications portfolio. This role collaborates with scheduling SMEs, program managers, finance, contracts, and technical leads to develop, maintain, and evaluate performance against the Program Measurement Baseline (PMB). The Program Planner serves as the focal point for changes and updates to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) during program execution, ensuring it functions as a predictive model and valued management tool. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, data-driven, and proactive in engaging stakeholders to facilitate closure of commitments while ensuring compliance with governmental and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) compliant with government and corporate requirements, demonstrating cost and schedule integration.
  • Assist with planning and cost estimation activities, performing analysis and preparing reports to ensure programs meet scheduled commitments.
  • Prepare internal weekly and monthly program schedule review packages, as well as compliant external Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRL) submittals.
  • Participate in the preparation of schedules for all contract work, performing critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, variance analysis, and other in-depth, actionable schedule-related analyses.
  • Incorporate contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS to maintain realistic, current contract schedule baselines.
  • Identify and recommend insightful mitigation plans to ensure the IMS is used effectively as a predictive and management tool.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship (required for access to program/contract information).
  • University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Scheduling experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using scheduling software such as Microsoft MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, or similar.
  • Experience or familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Experience assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling, and cost estimating activities.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Experience with the Agile environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is representative of all experience levels and considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
