About the role

The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts within the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) program area. This role supports contracts for the production, integration, technical assistance, and sustainment of the NASAMS® system.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and/or represent the organization on contract negotiation and administration matters
  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
  • Manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
  • Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for working contractual matters to resolution
  • Draft, interpret, and manage contract documents in support of Contracts and the Business Unit
  • Leverage excellent relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results
  • Coordinate closely with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration, Subcontracts Administration, Program/Project Management, Estimating and Pricing (E&P) or Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with external customers and internal cross functional partners
  • Experience with Terms and Conditions risk analysis and negotiation
  • Mature judgment, proactive involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution skills
  • Experience in the development of proposals and negotiations

Benefits

RTX offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment. The salary range for this role is $86,800 - $165,200 annually.
