About the role
The Principal Solutions Architect will serve as a senior technology leader across Everforth ECS's federal growth, capture, and customer solutioning efforts. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role for someone who can operate as a trusted technical advisor to federal agencies, mission leaders, capture teams, and internal delivery organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical solution strategy for strategic federal opportunities from early qualification through capture, proposal, orals, and transition to delivery.
- Engage directly with customers to understand mission objectives, pain points, operational constraints, technical environments, acquisition priorities, and desired outcomes.
- Translate customer needs into integrated technical solutions that are secure, scalable, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned to measurable mission value.
- Partner with capture managers, account leaders, proposal teams, pricing, delivery executives, and technical SMEs to develop differentiated win strategies and solution narratives.
- Architect multi-domain solutions across AI/ML, data platforms, cloud, cyber, DevSecOps, enterprise platforms, application modernization, managed services, and mission IT.
- Lead or support technical volumes, solution artifacts, architecture diagrams, white papers, oral presentations, executive briefings, and customer workshops.
- Develop technical win themes, discriminators, value propositions, solution roadmaps, and implementation approaches that resonate with federal evaluators and mission stakeholders.
- Orchestrate SMEs across multiple technical disciplines, ensuring the final solution is coherent, feasible, compliant, and compelling.
- Assess customer current-state environments and recommend target-state architectures, modernization pathways, operating models, and transition strategies.
- Support solution reviews, color teams, gate reviews, price-to-win discussions, risk reviews, and executive approvals.
- Represent the company as a credible senior technical voice in customer conversations, industry events, partner discussions, and strategic pursuits.
- Help mature reusable solution patterns, accelerators, reference architectures, and partner-aligned offerings across AI, cloud, and cyber.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in technology consulting, systems integration, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or federal mission technology.
- 5+ years of experience leading solution architecture or technical strategy for federal pursuits, major programs, or complex customer transformations.
- Experience working in or with large federal systems integrators, technology consulting firms, or mission-focused government contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to shape and communicate end-to-end technical solutions in a capture, proposal, or customer advisory context.
- Strong understanding of federal technology environments, procurement cycles, RFPs, solution reviews, proposal development, and oral presentations.
- Ability to engage credibly with senior customer stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, program executives, mission owners, and technical evaluators.
- Broad technical fluency across several of the following: AI/ML, data engineering, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, zero trust, DevSecOps, application modernization, enterprise platforms, managed services, IT operations, digital engineering, and secure infrastructure.
- Ability to connect technology architecture to customer value, mission outcomes, operational improvement, cost reduction, risk reduction, and delivery feasibility.
- Excellent executive communication skills, including whiteboarding, storytelling, briefing, facilitation, and oral presentation support.
- Ability to lead through influence across capture, growth, engineering, delivery, pricing, proposal, and partner teams.
- Strong judgment around solution tradeoffs, technical risk, delivery realism, compliance, staffing models, and cost-to-deliver.
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting large federal bids, including opportunities valued at $100M+ or larger.
- Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or agency-specific clearance.
- Certifications or strong working knowledge in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, cybersecurity, zero trust, SAFe, ITIL, TOGAF, CISSP, PMP, or relevant AI/data platforms.
- Experience with federal civilian, defense, intelligence, homeland security, health, or law enforcement customers.
- Experience developing partner-integrated solutions with major technology providers such as Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, ServiceNow, Red Hat, Elastic, Databricks, Splunk, Palo Alto, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, or similar ecosystems.
