About the role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Production Operations role based out of Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy
  • Product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customers
  • Oversee and manage the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serve as primary liaison to program management
  • Affirmative assessment of project and technical issues and develop and drive action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers
  • Coordinate and lead the preparation of proposals; prepare and review all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, create master production schedules, and coordinate material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related experience; Master’s degree with 3 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related experience
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
  • Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems
  • A Current/Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is required
  • A U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related experience; Master’s degree with 3 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Experience leading people and/or projects directly or indirectly, Experience communicating with executive leadership (Director or VP level), Experience in earned value management, proposal preparation, and/or integrated master schedule (IMS) development, Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00

Schedule

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
