Principal Product Manager - Technical, Amazon DocumentDB

About the role

Amazon DocumentDB is a fully managed, MongoDB-compatible document database service. The company is seeking a Principal Product Manager with a focus on technical aspects who can drive strategy and execution across various teams.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term strategy and roadmap for Amazon DocumentDB by gathering insights from diverse sources and collaborating with multiple teams.
• Engage with senior technical decision-makers from startups to Fortune 100 companies to understand their needs and help them succeed with the product.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, UX design, solutions architecture, sales, marketing, and support to execute on product development and go-to-market initiatives.
• Develop the PM community through mentorship and coaching on product management best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
• 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Qualifications

• Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
• Experience with database technologies, document databases, or adjacent cloud infrastructure services
• Familiarity with agentic AI architectures and how they are reshaping customer workloads and product design

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $181,100.00 - $245,000.00 USD annually.
