Within our Insurance vertical, we provide customers with solutions and decision tools that combine public and industry-specific content with advanced technology and analytics to assist them in evaluating and predicting risk and enhancing operational efficiency.

About the role

This role is accountable for driving data quality, influencing contributory data strategy, and partnering with Data Governance and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data is managed, governed, and utilized consistently across the enterprise. The Principal Product Manager I leads the identification and resolution of complex business and product challenges, influencing outcomes across delivery teams, organizations, and disciplines with minimal direction. This role will propose new business and/or product strategies that reflect the customer's current and future needs and drive execution. This is a hybrid position based out of our Alpharetta, GA headquarters, with an in-office presence required three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and quality measures to assess health, completeness, accuracy, and business value
  • Collaborate with technology partners to influence data modernization decisions, advocate for strong data stewardship, governance practices, and sustainable management of contributory data assets
  • Partner internally and externally to investigate and resolve data quality issues, articulate the business value of contributory data, and foster confidence in data-sharing programs and strategies
  • Define contributory data stewardship practices, drive root-cause analysis, prioritize remediation efforts, partner with technology teams to implement long-term corrective actions, and monitor the effectiveness of remediation initiatives
  • Validate product and contributory data strategy based on knowledge of customers, competitors, and market trends
  • Prioritize hypothesis-driven product evaluation strategies, such as A/B testing, while contributing to broader data-analyses strategies and platforms
  • Develop go-to-market strategy and launch plans at the product level through coordination with stakeholders and be accountable for coordinated execution across product, technology, sales, marketing, and other customer-facing teams
  • Leverage data insights and governance standards to guide prioritization and investment decisions
  • Write and/or consult on requirements across multiple complex and cross-functional feature areas
  • Drive contributory strategy and roadmap to deliver business impact for multiple products/product lines

Customer Focus

  • Partner with customers to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues while promoting best practices for data stewardship and management
  • Articulate the value of contributory data participation and help customers understand how data quality and contribution practices support better business outcomes
  • Understand in depth competitive products and strategy, and how they influence customer decisions
  • Discern how value is defined and perceived by each customer segment
  • Interact with other companies in their industry domain and engage with start-ups
  • Validate product strategy based on knowledge of customers, competitors, and market trends

Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis

  • Drive formulation of overall research/testing strategy and ensure decisions are based on data
  • Prioritize hypothesis-driven product evaluation strategies, including A/B testing, while contributing to broader data-analyses strategies and platforms
  • Evaluate the balance between quantitative and qualitative data needed for decision making
  • Break down large complex issues into simpler elements that can be effectively addressed
  • Energize complex issues and problems that require creative solutions

Go to Market & Product Marketing Lifecycle

  • Develop go-to-market strategy and launch plans at the product level through coordination with stakeholders and be accountable for coordinated execution across product, sales, marketing, and other customer-facing teams
  • Ensure ROI for go-to-market strategy, including revenue goals
  • Develop appropriate metrics and tracking of launch initiatives and ensure reporting to stakeholders
  • Develop positioning, themes, and messaging
  • Evangelize product for sales, customers, and media

Product Delivery & Development Lifecycle

  • Actively gather data from multiple sources (customer, market, revenue, etc.) to drive effective solutions to business problems and strategic issues
  • Oversee the product strategy, planning, and execution
  • Serve as a thought leader and innovator for the product, incorporating emerging technologies
  • Define, document, and implement new features
  • Write or consult on requirements across multiple complex and cross-functional feature areas

Strategy & Commercial Acumen

  • Drive contributory strategy and roadmap to deliver business impact
  • Assess new data opportunities for commercial viability
  • Understand how commercial decisions for a product will impact other areas of the business or customer
  • Lead development of business cases for investment

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of Product Management or related experience
  • Led enterprise data quality initiatives that improved accuracy, completeness, and trust in critical data assets while establishing governance and stewardship practices
  • Hands-on experience and ability to independently extract and analyze data, identify key insights, and connect findings to business outcomes through clear, data-driven narratives that inform strategic decision-making
  • Developed and executed data strategies while partnering with customers to improve quality, governance, and business outcomes
  • Influenced strategic decisions and aligned cross-functional teams to deliver complex data and product initiatives spanning multiple organizations

Qualifications

A degree in Business Administration (MBA), Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline is strongly preferred, but not essential.

Pay

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $118,300 - $219,800. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
