Principal Product Manager

About the role

We are seeking Principal Product Managers to lead critical product areas at Headway. Our mission is to make mental healthcare accessible and affordable by automating administrative tasks and leveraging AI to improve patient care.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategy for a major product domain, including identifying the highest-leverage bets and driving alignment across various teams.
• Ship meaningful product, not just strategy decks, with measurable outcomes and a focus on quality and velocity.
• Lay foundations that last, such as building capabilities, frameworks, or systems that unlock future product work.
• Elevate PM craft on your team by setting the standard for great product thinking, mentoring PMs, and influencing how the broader product org works.
• Drive alignment across complexity by working across engineering, design, data, clinical, legal, operations, and finance without formal authority.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning large, complex product domains end-to-end.
• Experience shaping strategy at the org level, including launching new initiatives and improving existing ones at scale.
• Deep technical expertise, able to have architectural conversations with engineers and make informed build-vs-buy decisions.
• Able to influence at the executive level, presenting strategy, answering tough questions, and getting buy-in without formal authority.
• Experience in mentoring and elevating PMs around you through collaboration and quality work.
• Comfortable in ambiguity, able to define the problem as readily as you solve it.
• AI-fluency, understanding how to responsibly evaluate and deploy AI-powered features and identify where they create real product leverage.

Pay

$150K - $200K annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
