About the role

Pinterest is a platform where millions of people discover creative ideas, dream about new possibilities, and plan for memorable moments. As a Principal Product Designer, AI Native, you'll play a crucial role in bringing innovative solutions to our users.

Responsibilities

• Establish the strategic direction and product vision for complex problems, including the integration of AI-based assistive tools into our consumer products.
• Collaborate with teams across Pinterest's suite of business products, supporting projects where help is needed most.
• Tackle new design challenges and regularly contribute to major design initiatives.
• Mentor and help grow talent within the team.
• Communicate the efforts of the design team effectively across Pinterest.
• Set and refine the design quality bar through principles and design system.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience with a strong track record of delivering inspiring, well-built experiences using the latest technologies.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt shaping/engineering, prototyping, and AI product flows with agentic systems.
• A respected designer and product thinker with a mastery of their craft and a cohesive product strategy.
• An inspiring communicator who represents creative work, builds trust, and aligns the creative vision across marketing, PR, and product.
• A portfolio showcasing breadth and creativity, along with proven experience in product design, design thinking, and product strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
